  • Habitat: found around lakes, streams and ponds.
  • Size: 1-4inches
  • Predators/Prey: mosquitoes, flies, bees, ants and butterflies.
  • Population: life span up to 5yrs
  • Interesting facts: As larvae, they live completely in the water, breathing through gills. As adults, they leave the water and breath air.
